“Berlin’s transportation system is an important component of the quality of life and economic vitality of the community and the region. This is evident in Berlin’s regulation of land use and in its investments in the maintenance and expansion of its infrastructure, both of which play important roles in the evolution of development patterns. Therefore, attention must be given to the impact that public policies have on the interconnected land use and transportation systems. This chapter provides guidance, context, and recommendations for addressing current and future transportation needs.”
